COVID 19 UPDATE:
Apologies for being absent and quiet over the last 4 months, as many of you know, I had a baby girl (Annabelle) in April, right in lockdown! Due to the combination of these two things, I have had my hands rather full and life is definitely not like I have ever known it before!
Prior to Covid-19 I had hoped to only take the summer term for maternity leave but as Covid continues, it is unfortunately looking impossible for me to be able to run any after school clubs within the government guidelines. With this in mind, I am looking forward to resuming clubs at both Sandfield and Boxgrove Primary Schools in January – assuming things improve or we find ways to adapt.
My best wishes to everyone and I hope you are all keeping safe and healthy. I will email out booking links as soon as they open for January!
Spring Term Clubs starting after-school week beginning Monday 6th January.
Liz Freeman has been successfully running after-school cookery clubs for the past 9 years. Initially as a teaching assistant, and since as a qualified primary teacher.
The children at both Boxgrove and Sandfield Primary Schools in Guildford have been thoroughly enjoying the clubs offered this year. Booking will soon be open for the January term 2021!

Ingredients, aprons and all equipment will be provided each week. For the first week, containers will be given to the children to bring their food creations home in but for the following sessions we ask that either they wash and re-use the container from the first week or that they bring another suitable container from home.
All children will receive a copy of the recipes each week to take home. These will be laminated so that they can be wiped clean in order to last.
Cookery is a great way for children to:
1. Enrich their maths skills;
2. Expand their oral vocabulary;
3. Learn scientific concepts;
4. Boost reading skills;
5. Gain life skills;
6. Develop fine motor skills;
AND promote social skills!
Enrol your child now!

Review for After-School Clubs
★ ★ ★ ★ ★
The children had a wonderful time at the Cooking Adventures After-School Club. The menus were nicely varied between sweet & savoury and incorporated lots of useful skills.
My son was delighted to learn how to make custard from scratch – no more packets for us!
